Hiking

Hiking and camping

Hiking in Finland is an important nature activity that both locals and tourists love, because Finnish forests are a real joy to explore. The holiday village Fish & Fun is located on the border of two provinces, Etelä-Savo and Päijät-Häme. The third large province, Kymenlaakso, begins 20 minutes’ drive from the village. The location of the village gives the opportunity to visit the hiking trails and national parks of all three provinces. Take a look!

Pirunkirkko is a massive, sloping rock formation that resembles a giant log cabin. It is about a kilometer from the parking lot to Pirunkirkko. Next to the parking lot there is also a campfire site and a huussi. The terrain is ridged and the path is challenging, so we do not recommend the route for those with weak legs. The path leads from the parking lot through the Pirunkirko rock formation to Kaijanniemi road, from where the path continues back to Niinilämme along the forest road.

Repovesi

Repovesi National Park has a large variety of hiking trails starting from 2.4 km to 21km round routes. Our favorite is a round 5km long Ketunlenkki trail. It is marked with fox symbol. Customer feedback

"Lovely place! What peace and quiet in the middle of the most beautiful Finnish nature. The cottages are really clean and well equipped. The staff is friendly. There are many things to do and activities in the area and nearby for those who want it, and nothing beats a good soak in the cabin's own sauna at the end of the day. Big recommendation!"
